Wow I'm horrible at this every day posting! What a week we had. I'll work backwards to try and remember it all! Yesterday was our huge photo shoot. It is for Élan magazine's March issue. They are featuring St. George Opera. I may have posted this but can't remember! We had models that were perfect for the characters we portrayed. The hair and makeup girl was an hour late which caused a lot of undue stress. We didn't have as much time as I wanted to shoot but still got 1300+ pictures...yikes!! It was amazing and fun and I'm happy with what the results! We had a sweet babysitter for the kids since my family is all out of town. Ellie Christensen was so sweet and got there early and stayed late. It was so nice to not have to worry! I went all out and had hours de vours for my models and stylist. Grapes cheese crackers and trail mix with water bottles. I also gave my models chocolates when we were done. I wanted them to feel special! They were excited for the chance to be in the magazine. It still hasn't hit me how truly amazing this is going to be. Darci the editor saw one picture and said we might have an image on the cover!!! WOW. Amazing!!!! We took a while to calm down last night. It was high energy! And we had a lot of valuable jewelry which was scary. Ben returned it and then got a tablet for my dad and Chinese food for us at red ginger. Hit the spot!!! Love that food. We can share one meal and it's plenty of food!
Friday was a day getting ready for the shoot. We ran errands and ate at cafe rio. The boys love quesadillas there and bonus it's free!!! The boys had an ornery day so they went down for a nap after we waved goodbye to my family. They all headed to salt lake for the weekend. Connor was heartbroken to see my mom leave but comforted by the candy she left him.
We had Ben pick up Connors friend Brody on his way home from meeting with the jeweler. Connor was still asleep and we had to wake him up. He was so excited to have Brody there and they had fun playing. They had Mac n cheese with hot dogs. Connor ate Brody's hot dogs cuz he wasn't really a fan :) Connor tells Brody he loves him and they jabber about funny things! Connor is very curious about anatomy right now and when Brody went potty he kept telling him he needed to stay in there and poop and asked us if Brody has a wiener. Oh BOY. :) we're entering a fascinating phase! We took the kids to the mall with us to try and find clip on earring converters. It was an experience! The boys ride the little car rides in the mall which is such a lame money suck but I gave in and let them each ride one. Connor threw a royal fit and made life hard. We drove to look at vintage furniture for our shoot and then took Brody home and visited a little with them. Love their sweet baby Kinsley but glad I don't have a newborn right now! I can't imagine... Haha. I'm not baby hungry in the least. So busy and crazy right now! We got the kids home and in bed and mentally prepared for the photo shoot.
Thursday
Ben had a shift at 2:45-7:15 this day, his first real shift after training! Before that he ran errands in the morning for stuff for the wig he made. After he got home I took my mom to work then went grocery shopping all alone! It was amazing!!! I hate shopping with the kids. It's awful. So this was a real treat!!
Wednesday Ben worked I can't remember whet we did that afternoon. I'm now editing this a week later and have zero recollection.
Monday we took Connor to his 3 year check up and had a fun experience. The boys were having fun playing with toys they found in a cabinet in the room and all of a sudden Connor sprayed cleaner in Parker's eye!!!! Why they keep cleaner down there I don't know!!! So we had them flush poor baby's eye out for ten minutes. He screamed and it broke my heart. I was so mad especially since when I ran in the hall the doc we'd been waiting on was just chatting it up with a nurse still wearing her coat with her purse! She just got there?! Needless to say we don't plan to go there anymore. I hope the pics illustrate our week and fill in any blanks!!!
