Bright sunshiny day

Some days like today I think I'm gonna lose my mind! When I have to work on things and Ben does too we become lame parents. I have had no patience with Connor today. We ate at village inn and had free pie. The kids almost sent me to the crazy farm!!! They were nuts and whiny and busy and I debated just leaving. But the free pie for all including the kids each getting their own piece made it worth it! Now I'm sitting outside enjoying the sunshine letting Parker crawl all over the ground and Trying not to let it bug me that he's a mess and ruining his pants. Why won't he just walk?! It worries me. And Connor is playing in his play house. It's nice to have a warm sunshiny day!!! It feels so good!!!

Tuesday

Yesterday (Tuesday) was a full day! I trained at Bella Baby which I think I'm going to love. I was there 9-1 the had a burger my mom got me at Carl's JR. Went home and had some Parker time while Connor Naples and Ben went to work. Had a work call with Laura at 3 and then did breakfast for dinner at 5. Ben came home at 7:30 in time to get Connor snuggles and into bed. I can't tell who the kids miss more sometimes. We're always together but when there are days like this when we're not I know they miss us. I love these boys more than life!!! They make me so happy. I hope I'm doing a good job.

Forgot to take pics?!

Today was a chill day. I literally sat home all day and just spent time with the boys.  It wasn't any elaborate play time. There were no expectations for me to accomplish anything. I didn't even want to have my phone with me at all times so I would just relax and enjoy the time.  It took some discipline. I think that's why I managed to not capture a single photo today.  And the boys did some cute things...but I just didn't take pics. I enjoyed them and captured those memories in my heart.  Cheesy!!! But true. I forgot to post that yesterday we came home from church and Connor said "We are DEFINITELY home from church!" Haha where he learns these things...I love it. And today he told us more about his primary lesson and the lions and how scary they were and the guy was scared but they didn't eat him.  Love that he is learning these things and gaining a testimony.  He is so smart and sweet. My mom said that he pays attention really well in primary (sharing time) and listens intently.  I know he loves singing time and has always loved primary songs!

My boys are my world.  I feel like I've been going so fast through my days and wanting them to end.     Connor is such a handful that I don't take the time to soak in how much I love him.  Last night I felt like we really bonded for the first time in a while. I mean really bonded.  We cuddled and I sang to him and we read stories and just talked and I told him I loved him. I do these things every night but last night was just different. I held him and could remember the night I held him as a newborn in his room.  I cried so much that night, one of his first nights home. I felt that sincere motherly love for him and didn't want him to ever suffer pain or disappointment.  I wanted to protect him from everything bad and hold him like that forever.  How I miss that moment.  He is so precious to me.  My heart hurts to think of how fast time truly does pass.  He is 3! It's still so young but after we've watched 3 years go by 5 more times he'll be gone.  I'm weird like that with numbers.  But I think of how fast the last 10 years have gone since I graduated.  I can still remember being 12 and being so excited to be 16! It's been 15 1/2 years since I was that age.  When that amount of time has passed again Connor will be on a mission. It's crazy.

I start my job at Bella Baby tomorrow and I'm really hoping it will be productive and give us that extra income we need to build up savings to buy a house.  I want to feel like a grown up and move on in life financially and have stability.  But I really hope it won't add more stress and I can enjoy motherhood to it's fullest.  I love my little angels.  They are my world!!!

Here's to another good day tomorrow!

Sunday January 27th

Connor is a stud. He puts his hand in his pocket without even being told to do so! He's just a hunk and I love how well he dresses...he has the cutest wardrobe! Most days we put him in lounge clothes, and we get him more cutely dressed if we have somewhere to go.  His grandma loves him to pieces!

Aunt Tasha is such a fun aunt to my boys.  Parker was in heaven and was so excited to fly!
He's a little adventurer.  I can't tell you how many times he's gotten stuck doing this, but he keeps at it!

Giving Lady loves...

CHEESE! He could see himself in this photo haha.
Parker has a growing vocabulary!  He can now say:
-Hiiii
-Bye
-Uh-oh
-Please
-Thank you (signing and speaking)
-Eat
-See ya
-Tasha (ta da)
-Ashlee (a-ee)
-Desi (de-tee)
-doggy
-cheese!
-baby
and of course mommy, daddy and sometimes Connor! I know there are more and it seems there is a new one everyday. Love it!

Spikey hairs!
Connor my handsome sweet tender son with mommy and daddy.

Ben seriously LOVES his photo taken. I don't know why he isn't used to it by now!

Tuesday January 15th

Connor had fun making cookies with daddy!  He loves to do things with his dad. He really loves washing his hands and does it all the time.  I guess it's better than not!

Why not eat the peanut butter whilst measuring it out? No biggie!

Parker loves Gabby and she loves him.  It's a sweet friendship.

Week of January 20th

Saturday: bad day! Kids didn't nap, we found Connors melatonin that had not been eaten hours after his attempted nap was over. I went to wedding showcase. Ben had a photo shoot. Had red ginger and kids were in bed super early!

Friday: slept in thanks to Ben. Got a work out in, Ben took Connor on an errand which was great. Kids had an average dry. I went to a work meeting then grocery shopping and felt so tired! Long day but don't know why I feel so tired. Had Ashlee's album release party and I took pics for it. I had fun and was amused watching this age group and how dumb boys are haha!! It was fun and I'm so proud of her!!

Thursday: Ben got a shift. Yay that!! We took our car to get the ac looked at. They fixed it and after a discussion between them and me they didn't charge us! Thank goodness. It went out the day after they worked on it after all...shouldn't be our cost. Mom and I took the kids to Costco and DI. They were cranky and naggy. We survived.

Wednesday: I was exhausted after the photo shoot and wanted to sleep forever! After a rough morning...(I spilled a 44oz diet coke and bawled for 20 minutes) we had a decent afternoon. Took the dress back to the bridal shop, went to village inn for free pie and the kids shared a pancake face meal. They had fun! Parker grins at everyone! The food was yummy...

Tuesday: big photo shoot! I met with the rentals company in the morning then rushed to get my mom and the kids to take her rental car back. Was a bit late for the shoot but everyone else was too haha. It was amazing and exhausting!! I'm very proud of my work. Ben had to work and wasn't there dangit but came on his lunch and that was great. At least he was close. At the branch on the Blvd. I felt bad the kids were with my mom all day but she was great to do that and support me. We had a good night and after the kids went to bed I went with my family to outback for Ashlee's birthday dinner. Mmmmm it was yummy. Thanks parents for paying!!

Monday was a holiday and day off but we didn't do anything fun. In the afternoon we dropped Parker off at the magnesens, Connor at Brody's. we went to Lisa's and took pics of Ben and Lisa for the magazine. Stressful!!! Picked up the dress for the next day and picked up the kids. Made dinner for everyone since my fan got back from Salt Lake. It was a noisy night and the kids went to bed early!!

Sunday we had the Harvey's over for Sunday dinner. Sooooo yummy. Chicken parm and breadsticks mmmm. The kids played and stayed up super late! (9:30). Connor broke a light bulb and I found him downstairs trying to clean it up. He put his hand on his forehead and said "mommy I broke your light and I'm so upset! I try to clean it by myself!" Brody was defending him and they were trying hard to clean up. So funny!!! Parker looooved Kinsley and enjoyed staring at her!! We are sad they are moving to Arizona :-( they were fun friends for us all!!!

Catch up

Wow I'm horrible at this every day posting! What a week we had. I'll work backwards to try and remember it all! Yesterday was our huge photo shoot. It is for Élan magazine's March issue. They are featuring St. George Opera. I may have posted this but can't remember! We had models that were perfect for the characters we portrayed. The hair and makeup girl was an hour late which caused a lot of undue stress. We didn't have as much time as I wanted to shoot but still got 1300+ pictures...yikes!! It was amazing and fun and I'm happy with what the results! We had a sweet babysitter for the kids since my family is all out of town. Ellie Christensen was so sweet and got there early and stayed late. It was so nice to not have to worry! I went all out and had hours de vours for my models and stylist. Grapes cheese crackers and trail mix with water bottles. I also gave my models chocolates when we were done. I wanted them to feel special! They were excited for the chance to be in the magazine. It still hasn't hit me how truly amazing this is going to be. Darci the editor saw one picture and said we might have an image on the cover!!! WOW. Amazing!!!! We took a while to calm down last night. It was high energy! And we had a lot of valuable jewelry which was scary. Ben returned it and then got a tablet for my dad and Chinese food for us at red ginger. Hit the spot!!! Love that food. We can share one meal and it's plenty of food!

Friday was a day getting ready for the shoot. We ran errands and ate at cafe rio. The boys love quesadillas there and bonus it's free!!! The boys had an ornery day so they went down for a nap after we waved goodbye to my family. They all headed to salt lake for the weekend. Connor was heartbroken to see my mom leave but comforted by the candy she left him.

We had Ben pick up Connors friend Brody on his way home from meeting with the jeweler. Connor was still asleep and we had to wake him up. He was so excited to have Brody there and they had fun playing. They had Mac n cheese with hot dogs. Connor ate Brody's hot dogs cuz he wasn't really a fan :) Connor tells Brody he loves him and they jabber about funny things! Connor is very curious about anatomy right now and when Brody went potty he kept telling him he needed to stay in there and poop and asked us if Brody has a wiener. Oh BOY. :) we're entering a fascinating phase! We took the kids to the mall with us to try and find clip on earring converters. It was an experience! The boys ride the little car rides in the mall which is such a lame money suck but I gave in and let them each ride one. Connor threw a royal fit and made life hard. We drove to look at vintage furniture for our shoot and then took Brody home and visited a little with them. Love their sweet baby Kinsley but glad I don't have a newborn right now! I can't imagine... Haha. I'm not baby hungry in the least. So busy and crazy right now! We got the kids home and in bed and mentally prepared for the photo shoot.

Thursday
Ben had a shift at 2:45-7:15 this day, his first real shift after training! Before that he ran errands in the morning for stuff for the wig he made. After he got home I took my mom to work then went grocery shopping all alone! It was amazing!!! I hate shopping with the kids. It's awful. So this was a real treat!!

Wednesday Ben worked I can't remember whet we did that afternoon. I'm now editing this a week later and have zero recollection.

Monday we took Connor to his 3 year check up and had a fun experience. The boys were having fun playing with toys they found in a cabinet in the room and all of a sudden Connor sprayed cleaner in Parker's eye!!!! Why they keep cleaner down there I don't know!!! So we had them flush poor baby's eye out for ten minutes. He screamed and it broke my heart. I was so mad especially since when I ran in the hall the doc we'd been waiting on was just chatting it up with a nurse still wearing her coat with her purse! She just got there?! Needless to say we don't plan to go there anymore. I hope the pics illustrate our week and fill in any blanks!!!
